FCA NEEDS TO RELEASE INFO ON THE NEW JEEP JL ALREADY! But they won't for a while so this is the best we've got. Even though we only have spy shots and a few quotes, there's a lot to be learned about this new Jeep Wrangler.

What changes do you want to see for the new Wrangler?

Transcript:

The Jeep JK Wrangler, you know it, you love it, and in a perfect world, you'll love it's successor.

But until we get to drive one ourselves the best we can do is give you the 9 Jeep JL Rumors You Should Know

Hey guys, Ken here with 4WheelOnline. If you enjoy our videos you should subscribe! We post a new video every Friday, and in November we'll be at SEMA to show you the coolest custom Jeeps.

Ok, so the first thing you should know is that according to FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne "There will be a large portion of that vehicle that will be aluminum. It will not be all aluminum,"

And last month an internal document from Alcoa said they're supplying aluminum for parts including front and rear door inners, and the hood. So who knows, there could be a lot more aluminum than just those pieces.

The next rumor is based on some spy shots of the rear window which showed an angled C-Pillar, foregoing the sports bar all together. This could improve safety, and, depending on who you ask, the look.

New LED headlights and fender daytime running lights can be seen hidden underneath cloth camouflage in some spy shots. General consensus is that they'll look pretty good, but  do you agree?

A new grille is also in store for the JL, spy shots show a kink in the middle of the grille and more squared corners. This isn't a huge departure from previous wranglers. We think it looks updated, but not overly altered.

That brings us to the next rumor. A JK owner ordered a new hood from a recycler in the Detroit area near FCA's Chelsea proving grounds. When he tried to install it he found the hood was about 2 inches longer than a JK hood should be. A few other small details and the fact that the recycler bought the hood back from the guy make a lot of people think it could have been the new JL hood.

But one point of contention was the rubber pads for the windshield, which rumors say won't be foldable anymore. It's also expected to have more rake for improved fuel mileage.

Also seen in spy shots are Diesel and Turbo engine options!

The Turbo is expected to be a 4 cylinder 2.0L "hurricane" Turbo packing over 300 hp, and attached to a new 850RE transmission, an 8 speed auto.

The Diesel is expected to be a 3.0L VM Diesel with a new 8HP75 transmission.

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is going to be available, aswell, though there's no word on which will be the base level engine.

We've also seen some spyshots of a manual transmission!

Now, what do you think of the rumors? Is FCA changing the Wrangler too much? Vote in our poll and then tell us what changes you'd like to see for the JL in the comments below.
