Now that the EV market is largely over the full-size EV sedans, the focus is shifting to the smaller segments occupied by the likes of the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

And Ingolstadt's entry in this crucial category has just arrived, with the 2025 Audi A6 and S6 Sportback e-trons looking to stake a claim to this EV category, which has felt largely overlooked.
What does this duo promise EV shoppers?
For starters, 100-kWh batteries that will yield a range of 392 miles in the entry-level rear-wheel-drive A6. But as this is Audi we're talking about, you can bet that AWD will be on the menu as well, especially in the sportier S6.
But range isn't everything in this segment, even though the range wars are still alive and well. The S6 Sportback e-tron promises nothing short of 543 hp and 0-to-60 launches in 3.7 seconds.
While the S6 sounds like it will be more fun, after spending some time in both we... actually preferred the A6.

Subaru to Travel Uncharted Territory with Its Third EV

Subaru's first modern mass-market EV may have been a lightly disguised version of the Toyota bZ4X dubbed the Solterra, and it's third EV (after the Trailseeker) will be... another collaboration with Toyota.
But this time, it'll be just a bit smaller than the Solterra.
Dubbed the Subaru Uncharted, the new EV in dual-motor form will serve up 338 hp and a range of 290 miles, though a Premium single-motor flavor will dial up that range to just over 300 miles.
Of course, the AWD versions will be the more popular ones, as this is still a Subaru we're talking about, but both versions will rely on 74.7-kWh batteries.
