What Does the Hummer EV's 11,500 LB-FT of Torque Actually Mean?

There's a lot we don't know about the upcoming electric Hummer (which will be a GMC pickup, rather than a standalone brand, this time around), and we're not likely to learn much more until its full reveal on May 20. But the automaker is leading with a handful of very splashy figures: Up to 1,000 hp, a three-second 0-60 sprint and a monster 11,500 lb-ft of torque.
